==================================
Happy New Year to all of us !!!
Time to take stock and make some positive new resolutions - trying to make them simple and with short term goals so we can keep on track is best. Something for us to discuss in our groups ?
Paul and Pat are again working to raise funds at Car Boot Sales, so should anyone have items of Bric-a-Brac etc. please bring them in.
The guest speakers on Friday, 18th January work with the Ambulance Service and Civil Protection Teams here in Spain. These should be interesting and informative topics as they will tell us more about these two local and national services.
In Committee, we are already thinking ahead about Events and Awareness Dates for 2013.
Here are some early considerations :
1. A fund raising event in late February/ March. (Dinner with Flamenco Show)
2. 'Steps for Stroke' sponsored walk - Easter Monday 1st April
3. Coach Outing - late April
4. Annual General Meeting - 17th May
5. Awareness Event/ - 31st May
6. If anyone would like to arrange an event in their own neighbourhood:
Eg: 'Sip for Stroke' (a coffee morning), this would be welcome as publicity to raise
local awareness. We have lots of leaflets etc.
The Committee welcome your own ideas and suggestions as always.
