ALL MEETINGS ARE HELD IN THE ANNEX, MUNICIPAL BUILDINGS, CALLE PAGANINI S/N, URB. LA SIESTA, (BEHIND AGE CONCERN). FROM 2.45PM TO 5PM.

SOCIAL AFTERNOON/tea party – this is a chance to relax with friends – with information, games etc.

Walk along Guardamar prom – wheel chair friendly.

Lunch Los Rosales 1.30pm.   (Subsidised – 5 Euros.)

DISCUSSION ON STROKE MATTERS-medical or social.  Carers/recoverers separate discussions.

FOR INFORMATION AND DIARY

Thank you to all members and volunteers for all the hard work on the day and before hand in making the Open Day such a success. We raised 700 Euros and bearing in mind this was the first such day we have organized it went very well. Well done all of us.

We hope to arrange the Respite few days away in the week beginning 22nd October. It will be to the 4 star Hotel Spa Costa Narejos, in Los Alcazares, Murcia.
The cost will be 71 euros for two people for two nights.
(TSS will be subsidizing 50% of the cost)
(Normal price is 35.50 per person per night)
Please let Louie know asap those interested.

The Respite coach outing will be in November to
Benidorm. (Christmas shopping!!?) Lunch at Monroe´s Carvery.

Regarding programming :–
Alicia is to start Occupational Therapy proper on 19th October. (Up to now she has been interviewing everyone.) She does not attend TSS every week and her dates of coming to us will vary because of her work commitments at the hospital. We are trying to make sure that all the therapists have a room to themselves – i.e.

Rachel & Ann - Speech Therapy
Pat & Paul – Physiotherapy
Alicia – Occupational Therapy
So please watch the programme carefully so that the particular therapist you need will be available on the day you come. For good progress it is better to be consistent in your therapy.

Marian Nobbs our Art Teacher has left as she is moving house to Almeria area. We thank her for coming each month and helping us gain so much.
We shall be without a teacher in October but another teacher, Suzanne Stokes will be with us in November.

The IMSERSO Government Subsidised holidays are late in being published this autumn and I am informed there are likely to be less of them, but we still hope to have information about them shortly.
